Easter!

Better late than never!
We had an Easter Egg Hunt for our ward the Friday before Easter Sunday and it rained like crazy!! Aaron and I still went to the activity though. When we got there, they were deciding if they should just cancel the event, come back later or just have it anyway. They decided to just have it anyway. They started out by giving everyone at least one egg and then the older kids did a little obstacle race and went off in search of the eggs. Aaron already had his egg so he was all good. He thinks that the egg is a ball and didn't want to put the egg into a bag.

We went walking looking for eggs but they were all gone. One of the youth found an egg and gave it to Aaron. We actually saw an egg and started going for it but we were walking too slow and another kid grabbed it before we did. One of the other primary kids was super nice and put one of his eggs for Aaron to find but all Aaron did was stare at the egg like, what am I supposed to do with it? The boy's mom eventually picked it up and handed it to Aaron.

After that, we went to get a cupcake for Aaron. I handed it to him and he promptly bit down on the peep and spit it right back out! Once the peep was gone, he devoured the cupcake and got frosting all over his face!! It was too cute!

  3. Isn't it funny. It's like kids are programed to know that candy and sweets are the best. Marcus can't get enough. Luckily the rest of the Easter candy is finally gone! He could see the chocolate bunny, and would stand there smacking his lips and pointing saying, I want that,I want that! urg, so irritating!

  4. I think it's so funny that kids probably don't get the whole concept of the holiday but are like, "candy! sweets! games! YES!" Glad to hear that he had such a fun time!

  5. That is too funny that he got rid of the peep. That usually would be the kid's favorite part. I loved the pictures of Aaron. He is such a stud. you guys are doing a GREAT JOB with him!
