Raya: 4 Months

Went to the doctor for her four month checkup on Monday
weight 16 lbs 5 oz
height 24.5 inches

She is one chunky monkey!
When Aaron was 4 months, he was only 15 lbs BUT he was 25 3/4 inches long!
I love her hair after she bathes! Her hair sticks up and David likes to give her a little mohawk.

update: She got her 4 month shots on Friday. The first shot, she didn't even flinch and with the second shot, she cried for like 5 seconds and was done. I'm thinking her huge thighs saved her some pain! :D

Slippers

Aaron has outgrown the several pair of shoes and has only been wearing the Transformer shoes my sister got him. They aren't bad or anything but when you're in a hurry, shoes is the last thing I want to be putting on, especially on a squirmy 2 year old.
There was a 2/$5 deal at Children's Place and we got him a pair for now and one for later.
He is still getting used to them but I think he likes it. I know I like it. It's so much faster and easier now!
We were waiting at the Doctor's for Raya's 4 month checkup and decided to take pictures (with my cell) of his new slippers.
Here he is watching David play a game.
Aaron took this picture.
He takes weird poses when I ask him to take a picture.
I was just trying to get his feet in this one...

Read the Scriptures

I personally have always needed help reading my scriptures more consistently, so when a member in my ward told us about this website, we had to check it out! Actually, David started it first and I followed!

You choose where you want to start and when you want to finish reading! It sends you an email of the chapter and once you're finished reading, you click on the "completed" button and they'll send the next chapter! And if you fall behind, they'll email you a reminder to either get the email sent again or read it online. (I've had several of those reminder emails and I'm -- days behind)

When reading online, you can highlight and take notes! (something you can't do with the email) You can also write a journal on there.  There is also a "teams" feature that lets you create a group of your friends to remind each other to read and send emails of encouragement!

This is really awesome! I haven't tried all the features yet but it still is pretty cool!
Head on over and check it out! Unless you don't need help reading your scriptures like me! :P

Lettuce have salad.

I know it's such a cheesy title but I can't help myself!

Last night, I got out my MIL's lettuce (that she had grown and given to us) to make  a salad. Aaron sees me and proceeds to open the fridge and get me the ranch dressing, how did he even know that went together? He even said he wanted some! After I mixed the dressing w/parmesan cheese, I gave him a bite and he said he didn't like it.
I had him swallow it anyway.
A couple minutes later, out of the blue, he asks for another bite and ended up eating 5 more bites! Wow!! He even asked for more after it was all gone, so I made more and then he said he didn't want it anymore.
So I ate it.
I am really surprised he ate that much vegetable.
Note to self, Aaron apparently prefers lettuce over broccoli.
 I like lettuce! AAHH!!

Candy

I thought this was a funny story:
We came back from our neighbors who had given Aaron some gummy fruit.
He wolfed it down, then said, "I wanna go aunty's house"
Me: Why? What do you want to go to aunty's house for?
Aaron: I want candy.

I couldn't help but bust out laughing. This kid makes me laugh!

This isn't the picture that goes with the story but I thought you might enjoy the funny picture!
I asked him to smile for the camera and he gave me this.
He's so weird.

The kids sleeping while we get gas

Gassing up our car in preparation for the tsunami at Sam's Club in Pearl City at 6am.

Possible tsunami post coming

Waiting for the Tsunami

Aaron was woken up at 4am, slept on the way to Grandma's in Pearl City, and was still up at 2pm! And didn't show any signs of slowing down!!

I asked him to take a picture for me and this is what I got. Weirdo.

He finally fell asleep at 3:30pm.
