Aaron's first Christmas

Today was Aaron's first Christmas. It was super fun. We opened up presents together. Aaron got a whole bunch of stuff. He got a Precious Moments ornament that said "Baby's First Christmas 2007", a Dr. Seuss book, a puzzle, clothes, a toy that attaches to his car seat which will help stimulate him. He also got Spiderman socks and a monkey frame that you can put his face in. It's cute. (Ask if I took any pictures...nope, we were too busy taking opening presents for everyone that we forgot!!) Although we did take pictures of the presents underneath the Christmas tree and Aaron next to it. "Where's Aaron?"

David got the newest Alicia Keyes CD from me, Bumblebee and Optimus Prime Transformer toys, and I got him something else too but it hadn't come in the mail yet. (I got him "Heroes: Season 1" box set. )

I got a new cute wallet (something I've been wanting for forever and a day), the soundtrack to Hairspray the 2007 movie) and an orange iPod shuffle!! (Hooray!!! I'm so excited to use it!! Not only to put music on on it but now I have the motivation to go work out with it!) Thanks David babe!! You're the best!!!!!

After we opened up our presents, cleaned up a bit, we headed over to David's parents' house in Hauula, a mere five minutes away to open presents over and help them to set up the Wii that they got from Santa Claus! I love playing the Wii and so does David so we'll be over there playing with his siblings and the Wii. David's older brother, Danny, also told us that we could connect to other Wii's and play with them too. I think that is so freakin' awesome!

In the late afternoon, we all headed over to David's mom's cousin's house for dinner with the extended family. It was fun! There was so much ono food that I wish we could've taken some home! Whoever made the sushi had great avocado in it and the meat...oh it was yummy with a capital "Y"!! It's great just hanging out and eating with family especially during the holidays.
After dinner, we went back to his parent's house and played Wii some more and just to hang out with family.

Here's a cute picture of his sister, Pii, her daughter Ariana and Aaron. Ariana was getting mad because she wanted to play with Aaron so Pii sat on the ground so Ariana could sit on her lap and look at Aaron.

Now I'm playing with my iPod shuffle and listening to Hairspray and eating the holiday food!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night! ;D

Aaron's Smile

Aaron is such a smiler. He smiles back and it's so cute. He smiles pretty big too especially when we laugh at him loud and long. It's so funny!!

I made this collage of Aaron smiling just today. I love the bottom row pictures. I especially love the last one, it's when he was laughing and started to fall over!! HAHA!!

Here's a video of him "talking" It's so cute! I love it when he talks!! Sometimes it even sounds like he's saying "hi" and "hello" or even "ma"... or it could just be me wishing he's saying that! ;D

It's Christmas Eve and here's a picture of Aaron in an outfit his Uncle Danny and Aunty Pilar got for him. It's actually too short for him. His legs are longer than the outfit! When we were at David's grandma's house, his Aunty Pearl actually noticed and let his legs free! (I think it's funny because the outfit is size 3 months and Aaron is a month and a half!)
Well there shall be more pictures up since we're going to be taking tons of pictures of him "opening" his presents tomorrow for his first Christmas!

Happy Holidays!!

Getting ready for Christmas

We finally wrapped our Christmas presents today. We've had them in the shopping bags just waiting to be gift wrapped and we just finally got around to it today, 4 days till Christmas. But then again, it's not like we really have a Christmas tree to put all our presents underneath.

We don't have much room in our studio to put up our tree from last year so David took just the top part and put it up. We have a playpen/bassinet/changing table for Aaron and so the tree is set in the corner by the changing table.

I made little name tag ornaments for the tree since we don't have much room to put up the other elaborate ornaments. I need to take a picture and as soon as I do, I'll put it up.

Happy Holidays!!

Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! This year has been a very eventful one for our family. We both graduated and have now entered the "real world" with high rent here in Hawaii and parenthood.

Carol started teaching at Kahuku High and Intermediate in January AND found out she was pregnant. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on November 1st and named Aaron Kaleonahenahe Yuen. Kaleonahenahe means "soft and gentle voice" which really fits him. David decided on that name because when Aaron arrived, his cry was soft. Now his cry is getting a little louder but still not piercing! He's the cutest thing and he's getting longer as the days go by!

David graduated in June in Math and is working full time as a stay at home dad. He's great with Aaron and loves being with him while Carol has to work.

Enjoy the holiday season!!
