Potty Training Update

Since the last post, he's had a couple accidents but nothing major. We were in Foodland on Saturday and weren't paying attention to the time and he peed by the candy when we were in line waiting to get rung up.
We just have to bring up going to the potty constantly.
BUT he is so good!
That same night as the Foodland incident, we told him to just go use the toilet if he has to go shi-shi. We were watching Disney Channel in our room and all of a sudden, he slides off the bed and walks towards the living room, I followed him and found him in the dark bathroom using the toilet!! We are so proud! Since then, with just a couple of reminders, he's used the bathroom on his own. Sometimes when we tell him to just go (since it's been an hour or so since he last went), he'll say "Nooo" and head to the bathroom anyway and go :P
Last night, he just stopped what he was doing and walked to the bathroom!
LOVE IT!
Let's hope he keeps it up!
Now we just gotta figure out the whole night time thing...
suggestions?

Funny kids, where do they get it from?!

Raya: 6 months

Raya's six month checkup was today and these are her stats:

weight: 17.4 lbs
height: 26.5 inches
Aren't these such funny pictures?
She grabs her feet and likes to either chew on her hand at the same time or eat her foot! hee hee.
She hasn't crawled forward yet but she can totally scoot backwards!
(She actually fell off the bed one time from crying and scooting backwards when I was doing something...should I be telling you this?)
She isn't sitting up on her own yet either but will sure tell you when she does!
She does sit up when we prop her up but eventually topples over! :D

Aaron in his undies

We've tried to potty train Aaron before by taking off his diaper and letting him run around the house naked but he didn't like it so much and was really uncomfortable with nothing on.
When we went to Walmart this past month, we decided to buy Aaron some undies with Cars on them. We figured he might be more willing to be potty trained if he had some bebedees (spelling?) on.
On Monday night we finally opened up the package and let him try it on and started off the potty training process.  David officially started Aaron on Tuesday. Every half hour, Aaron goes shee-shee in the toilet.
Aaron also did a #2 yesterday. Our neighbor Cherry told David on his Facebook status that she could actually hear Aaron from her bedroom window yell, "DADDY! I MADE DOODOO!!"
He only had two accidents yesterday. so far so good*cross fingers*
We'll see how it goes...I just wanted to share the pictures of Aaron in his Cars underwear!

Trapped

I was helping set up for our ward's Senior dinner on Wednesday night and hadn't seen Aaron for awhile. I went looking for him and heard someone crying as I went down the hall. I got closer to the nursery and I could hear Aaron yelling "Mommy!!", he had gone into the nursery room but couldn't get out! (The nursery has a thing on the door so the little kids can't turn it)
He was super sweaty and scared! Poor thing!!

This is what his sweaty head looked like after I messed it up! hehe

Seen and Heard

May 11th
(David was out playing basketball)
I saw Aaron playing w/David's earphones and I told him to put it away a couple times and ended with an "or you're gonna get it."
Aaron: Daddy's gone.

-Man, the way he said it like he could do whatever he wanted since David wasn't there, I wasn't happy that he wouldn't listen to me but I thought it was hilarious, that attitude. They grow up way too fast!

Same night
I had put Aaron in his playpen/bed and was nursing Raya when I hear this little sound of glass breaking.
Carol: What happened?
Aaron: I un-know (I don't know). I broke it.
Carol: What did you break?
Aaron: broke the light. I dropped it.

Argh! He broke the night light!
Fortunately David walked back in from the other room and quickly got Aaron out of the danger zone and cleaned it up.
Now, I know that's not funny or cute but I thought it was pretty awesome that Aaron is making really good sentences... it's a mom thing. :P

Arm bracelets...armlets?

David gave her two rings to play with and they both got stuck on her arms!

Her funny face
She looks really Asian in this picture!
Look at that cute little smile!
David can get her to smile perfectly for the camera! When I try to take her picture and get her to smile...I just get a blank stare! She sure is Daddy's little princess!
(This happened in April sometime. Just forgot to post it then...ANYWAY...)

Football Pillow

Found Aaron sleeping like this the other day and thought it was cute!

He's been spending a lot of time outside playing with Makana and his cousins and if you look closely at his foot, you can totally see his slipper tan line! AHAHAHA!!
I'll have to take a better picture! I think it's so awesome!

Party Favors

We were invited to a first birthday party in Haleiwa for our friends, the Salomons. Their second boy turned 1 and they happened to be in Hawaii (visiting from FL). It was fun. Michelle had made these super cute centerpieces. She painted and assembled the cute little palm trees and little fishes. On the table were blue ribbon (to look like waves) and little bags of goldfish crackers. so cute!

Aaron enjoying his food
Here is Raya trying on Aaron's party favor. She is so cute!
I love this picture. She looks so sassy!
Thanks for inviting us to celebrate Marcus's birthday!!

Name Mix-ups

I thought it would've taken more than 2 kids to start messing up names. I've already called Raya, "A-raya" and Aaron, "R-aaron"...multiple times!

Double Stroller

I really want to get a double stroller but David and Aaron have solved that problem and are saving us money!
This is our version of a double stroller.
(But I still really, really want a double jogging stroller...yes, I know I'm dreaming but a girl can dream right?!)
