Forks and Spoons

Aaron used to use these spoons and forks to eat. (We got them when we got the Bumbo chair.)

But then we were like, he's a big boy now and needs big boy utentils so we got him these ones to use from Target.

More food gets into his mouth and less in his lap and chair! Yay!!

sorry the pictures are kinda blurry, they were taken with my cell phone and had to use the flash! ;D
He's also has no clothes on b/c it's much easier to clean him after eating!!

Celebrating Cousin Uncle Shaun's Birthday

David's cousin Shaun had a birthday a couple weeks ago and we went out to celebrate by eating at a shrimp truck by Ted's Bakery. We tried the spicy shrimp and steak plate and a steak plate. SO ONO! and spicy! Then we went to the beach to catch the sunset but then they decided that they wanted to have an acai bowl. We (as in David and Carol) has never had an acai bowl. (We've heard everyone talking about but didn't really know what it was all about!)
We went to a place across Pupukea Foodland called "Kavaroots" and they serve the BEST acai bowls EVER! It was HUGE! It was a whole lot bigger than I thought it would be! Ok so it WAS our first one but it was still SO yummy! and the smoothies were really good too! Shaun's friend, Ryan, attested that the acai bowls at Kavaroots are the BEST on the island, he's tried other ones and he keeps coming back to this one.
The next time you're out by Pupukea Foodland, cross the street and get an acai bowl from Kavaroots!

I made a little collage of our adventure (after the shrimp truck)

Sharing is caring

We were at a basketball game and sitting next to Shauna and Jelani Odjegba, Jermaine's family. Aaron and Jelani started sharing Cheerios. It was the cutest thing ever!

Our BFF's

Our friends, the Tanigawa's came to visit last month and we had so much fun! We love these guys! They came over and ate dinner and came to the basketball game with us! We played at the park and Aaron went into a swing with Lana! We went to the beach but it was too windy to actually go in the water! It was so long ago that I can't remember what we did. But whatever it was, it was fun just getting to hang out with them! We love you guys!!

Come back and visit!!

One of the saddest days of my life!!

BYU Hawaii had a championship game tonight in the CAC. We had been to the last two games in the NCAA tournament and they have been really good games! Tonight was a REALLY close game in the last couple of minutes!! The ONE time the other team has a lead and it helps them win. ARGH!!! My heart sank when the buzzer rang and we had lost by one point!! ONE!58-59 I walked out "ughing" everyone I saw! I seriously want to cry right now! There were a lot of "if only's" they had done this and done that...but it's over.

The upside...we got to sit right behind the players and was seen on TV!...and got to support our team! Good job guys!

Here are some pretend pictures. Just imagine the whole CAC PACKED with people in red and white!!

The games were another reason I've been slacking on the posts!! I guess I now have time to update!

Good News and Bad News

Do you wanna hear the good news first or the bad news? How about we just start with the bad news and then the good news? That way, you leave feeling happy and not sad! ;P

Bad news: My work laptop is out of commission. It TOTALLY sucks to not have a computer to work on! I never realized how much I relied on that machine! I felt so lost without my laptop. I really didn't know what to do! Luckily, the laptop is insured by the school/work and so I just need to send it in and get it fixed and then I'll be able to function properly again!

Good news: I have a job next year! PHEW!! I was really worried since 10% of the teachers are getting cut. Good thing I was in the Special Education Department or I'd have to be looking for another job! I'm not sure EXACTLY what I'll be doing but I do know I'll be co-teaching...and whatever else I need to do.

See, now you can leave happy!! ;D

*Thanks to Daniel who lent me his laptop that he doesn't use, I now have a computer to work on! I even stuck in my hard drive so now it's like "my own".

Pots are the new chairs

I don't know if you saw these pictures on my Facebook but they're just so cute that I have to share again!

He took out the pot from under the cupboard and sat on it.

It just cracks me up that he's sitting in it!

This adorable hat is from when we were over at the Jackson's for an awesome dinner and their daughter, Amaya, decided that Aaron should put the hat on. I love his face!

This is one of my favorite pictures! His face is priceless!! I want to label this picture as "I LOVE READING!!".
but he's really making that face because he's really saying"I'm trying to get the bug off this book and it won't come off!!"

Just for fun...

My Album Cover

Here are the rules:

1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random... Read More”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together. ( I used Picasa)
