Raya and her voice

Raya lost her voice in the morning and so she was raspy and was really worried.

She asked her Grandma Imi, "What's wrong with my voice? What happened? Is my voice still sleeping?"

Haha!! I love her!

Here's a picture of Raya trying on a $50 My Little Pony backpack.

Happy 6th Birthday to Aaron!!

I can't believe he's 6! Where has the time gone!?! Love this kid! He's a lot tougher than he looks. Puts up with lot. Has the best laugh which is so contagious. Smart kid, both in reading and math. Takes care of his little sister. They have a really good relationship even though there are times when they like to make each other really mad!! I have to constantly remind myself he's only 6 and he's still learning. Thankfully he loves us anyway!! Happy 6th Birthday Aaron!

L4 Ward Truck n Treat (Oct 23, 2013)

Laie 4th Ward Truck n Treat tonight!
Batman & Minnie Mouse!!
Raya wanted a Minnie Mouse on her arm at the face painting station.
It was pretty good! (But it started dripping...)
Aaron wanted a Batman on his hand.

Loved this handmade skull shirt!!

Thanks L4 Primary! We had fun!

---
Aaron kept changing his mind when we asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween. Raya really wanted to be Tinkerbell. That being said, we ended up being one of those parents that got their costumes like 2 days ago. We were looking before but we were never able to find what the kids wanted (or in our price range). So we literally had 3 days to find costumes for the kids that we just went to Windward Mall on Monday. We found that cool Batman hoodie and luckily, Raya's real flexible and was happy with the Minnie Mouse costume.
So glad our kids are easy going! All that really matters is that they get chocolate for me...I mean...all that matters is that they have fun!

Aaron reading to his friends

At our friend's house and I catch Aaron attempting to read a book to the little kids in the bedroom.
I say attempt since I think with all their short attention spans, it only lasted for a couple more minutes.
Glad I was able to capture this moment :)

10.14.13

Raya's scary!

At a friend's house and randomly Raya does this.
"I'm a vampire! *rrrrr!!*"
10.14.13

Raya likes to "draw" words

10.15.13 - Raya wanted me to take a picture of the names that she wrote today (with the help of Uncle Makana). She's actually doing pretty good sounding out words and reading some basic words. She wrote out "momy" for mommy & "dady" for daddy. She likes to "draw" names. Have I ever told you how much I love her preschool? There's no way I could have taught her that at home if I tried. #rayakgram #reading #brightbeginningpreschool

Happy 30th Birthday David! You're officially old!(er than me)

Happy 30th Birthday from the worst wife ever! I'm sorry you didn't get any birthday shout outs or your birthday pie yesterday! No excuses, I'm just horrible.

Either way, I hope you had a great day yesterday.

I just wanted to tell you how much I love you.

No matter how much I mess up your birthday (and your life), at the end of the day, you still put up with me.
Thank you for having the patience to be my husband.
Thank you for driving everywhere and having the confidence in me to be able to drive alone to town. You are my support system and I look to you when I need anything and you always bring me back down to earth whenever I have a downright crazy idea.
Thank you for being my dancing partner at parties, in the car, whenever we feel like it and basically through life!
I love when you sing because I like to think that you're singing just for me and I love your voice. I love how much fun we have together!
Thank you for working hard even though days get tough. You just keep going no matter what and I admire that in you.

Happy Birthday old man!

Love you forever,
Carol

FHE - 7/15/13

Family Home Evening activity - bike to the Cocco's across Laie to drop off mangoes from Tutu Kaluna.

Aaron was super speedy. Raya did her best to keep up.
The FHE lesson was the same one I taught the Sunbeams on Sunday. We talked about how temples and how we can be together forever. This was the handout I gave out.
Aaron and Raya's pictures that they colored.

I love to color. It's so relaxing. I love coloring with pencil crayons - colored pencils for you Americans :)
I love mixing the different colors and how pretty it can get. I'm such a dork but I don't care! Random fact - I used to color in high school. Some of my friends and I would bring coloring pages to class and color! I bet our teachers would find that annoying! Haha!

Aaron's Summer Haircut

Love his face! Lol

His Asian-ness is so evident here!
Thanks David for buzzing his hair!
