Ice Cake

After one of the Young Women activities, we had some bubble gum flavored ice cake.
Aaron LOVES ice and so of course he would LOVED these ice cakes. He kept asking for more! I think he ended up eating like 2 1/2 of these puppies!

and yes, his shirt is off because I knew he was going to make a mess and I was not going to have a stained shirt. and yes. he did make a mess.

Ward Camp

Our ward had camp over the Fall Break and it was the HOTTEST week EVER! No tradewinds!
On the Thursday, me and Aaron went to Hukilau Beach to go hang out with the Young Women. We saw them learn how to stand up paddle while we played in the sand with our buckets and shovels.
--I would want to learn how to stand up paddle but knowing me, there's no way I could. You're probably thinking, yes you can! But for real, I can't. I don't like deep water mainly for the following reasons: I can't tread water
(very well...even though David has tried to teach me), I can't swim very well and I don't like that I can't touch the bottom. silly. I know. Don't you just also love the irony of me living on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean? LOL. (PLUS the face that I have balance whatsoever on a skateboard, rollerblades...let alone a surfboard!) --

I love this picture of Aaron playing with his shovel and bucket. He would much rather play in the sand than in the water.

Although I think since he saw all the other kids playing and running into the water that he decided he wanted to go swimming too. Usually he'll yell and scream "NO! I don't wan it!" if we try to convince him to go in.
This time, he started heading toward the water and told me to "C'mon MOOM, sweeming, go the wAHter". He still wanted me to carry him though.

My friend (and YW President) took this picture of us in the water and Aaron decided he wanted his foot in the picture (and in front of my face....see how I have my hand on his foot so you can see me! hehe.)

The water was very refreshing and nice and the sun was shining bright that I got burned!
So burnt that it hurt to have anything on my shoulders. Luckily, the pain went down in a couple days and a couple weeks later, my right shoulder started peeling.

Good times. I was sad when Fall Break was over and I had to go back to work.

The story of the lost Cars DVD

If you follow me on Twitter or read my Facebook statuses, then you'll already know this story but here is the long-er version. :D

One night I got Aaron ready for bed and turned on the TV in our room for him to watch Cars so I can get ready for bed and then the TV told me there was no DVD.
"WHAT?!" No Cars?! Where is the DVD?
I ask Aaron where he put the DVD and he looks at me and goes "Where'd it go?" and looks under the bed. He walks out to the living room and walks around to the TV and turns it on to watch PBS Kids. Obviously not there nor does he care.
I was so upset. I really like this movie. I look under the bed, in the trash, in the couch, and everywhere in between.

Everytime I ask him, he gives me a look like I'm nuts!
I go in the back and search in his bed, his laundry basket...you get the idea. Then I decide I better ask Heavenly Father to help me find the DVD.
Then I "get the idea" to put my fingers in the VCR side of the TV and lo and behold I feel the DVD. That little stinker tried to put the DVD in the VCR. I was so thankful for the answer to my prayers and relieved that the movie was found!
It may seem like such a small and trivial thing to worry about but it wasn't to me. I'm just glad we found out so we can watch more "MahQuEEn and MayDer" and Aaron clapping and cheering when the cars race!

HOOH-RAY!!

Aaron's hair with gel. I tried to make a little mohawk but he kept touching his hair and messing it up.

This picture is of his face when he says "HOOH-RAY!" when he's watching Super Why and the Hip Hip Hooray song comes on and decides to jump/dance on the couch.

I should take a video of him saying it because it is hilarious.

He can get out!

David has been trying to get Aaron to climb out his crib but all Aaron could do was get his leg up and then get stuck and then cry to get out...until last night! (10/6/09)

David had just come home from playing basketball and I had him in his crib and he was whining/crying to get out.

David told him to climb out and he finally succeeded!

This is of course one of many successful climbs after the fact.

He'd climb out and touch his stomach and say "tummy" with a sad look on his face or "leg".

Yeah, I'd expect my stomach or leg to hurt after getting out of that crib. He has yet to climb back in though. That'll be the next thing to work on until we get him his own bed. :P

David's Birthday Part II

Cake/Pie his mom made since we have no oven to make the crust.
Thanks Mom Imi!!
(This is seriously the best pie ever!!)

Singing "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy...er...man!

Smiling at Aaron "singing"...I think...

Blowing out his candles!

Happy 26th Birthday!!
Hope you had a super great birthday!

Some Random Pregnant Pictures

I'm really not good at the whole documenting me being pregnant (even with Aaron) and have some random pictures here and there. Just thought I should finally put some up for remembrance/record.
Here is a picture of me on Sept 12 (27 1/2 weeks).

We were at a wedding for the students' that were in David's student ward. He went to the Big Island to be at their sealing. The other couple is Bishop Ellis and his wife. (They are so awesome!)

This was on Sept 19th (28 1/2 weeks)...ok so not that much difference from the above picture. Oh well. I don't have that many pregnant pictures anyway.

We had just picked up my brother from the airport and went to Hukilau Beach to meet up with David's cousin, Nephi and his family. They were here visiting and it was great to see them and hang out!
(Aaron was wiping his cheesy, Dorito-y hand on my hair. He wasn't patting me on the head!)
