Aaron has high frequency hearing loss in his left ear and we've had to go for several tests to determine the severity of it. So far so good. It doesn't look like we have really anything to worry about for now.
Even so, there's a free program called Hawaii Keiki Information Service System (HKISS) which gives support to families that have children with special needs or have concerns. It's pretty cool. Aaron has people come every so often to check up on him to make sure his hearing loss isn't affecting his development.
We just had someone come Tuesday and he's looking really good. He's actually doing better than average kids his age in certain areas and not lacking in any area.
On Monday we have his 9 month checkup, where we'll see how he's doing with height and weight.

Good to hear (no pun intended ;) and it's awesome of you to pass on this useful info. to other parents. I know a lot of parents worry about their children's development and need to know where to go for help if they have any concerns.
