Dinner with the Bro's (then future) In-Laws

My (then future) sister-in-law's single ward bishop was one of my friend's dad in one of my old California wards when I was in high school...confused? I got a little confused writing it, either way we were in the same ward back in the day when I lived in Cali :)

Bishop Severson and his wife invited both future in-law families to their house for a dinner. I thought it was going to be the families and the Severson's eating together but that was not the case. They had set up their dining table with fancy china, fancy goblets and silverware.

The Severson's weren't going to eat with us, they were going to serve us dinner and ate with Aaron & Raya in the kitchen.

Here's a closeup of my plate. We ate lasagna, garlic bread, salad, & green beans. Yum! I had a second helping!


Raya & Aaron ate and played with the Severson's toys. Aaron found the cars & Raya found this HUGE baby and stroller to play with. The baby was just as big as her!


And it had some creepy eyes! It was the baby that could close it's eyes when laying down but this baby only had one eye that closes and even then it was halfway so it looked pretty funny and a little scary! You can see it in the picture! Hahaha!


Dessert!


It was so nice of the Severson's to host that lovely dinner. It was also nice to be able to sit and chat with them afterwards.

Random happenings that should've been blogged

I won this card from a Twitter giveaway - $5 Subway card


Testing out my flash with my new case. It's clear, my phone is white so when it flashes, it creates the "soft glow" that you see in the picture.


So I colored the inside edge of the case by the flash by my camera phone and it turned out better! Hooray for black Sharpies!

IKEA

I miss Ikea. I used to love going there with my parents and just wander around looking at everything! I'm sure there were always rooms set up but this time around, now that I'm older, I'm appreciating all the ideas I saw! So I took a lot of pictures for my "one day dream house and my unlimited budget"! :)

I really like the blue walls and the cute couch. It was really comfortable too! I wouldn't mind a huge canvas either. I just don't know of what yet.

San Francisco & Oakland

After the Exploratorium, the parking lot we were in had a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Since we really didn't want to deal with parking, we took some pictures there.
I LOVE this picture of the kids! don't you love Raya's socks and sandals look? ;P

Next up we went to the famous Golden Gate Bakery in SF. We HAD to try the custard tarts! There is usually a huge line but we dodged that bullet, I think we started the line!
The custards tarts were a little pricey but sooo yummy!


We loved the flaky crust! writing this is making me want to eat another one!


We didn't eat there that day but I just liked that it was a huge sign!


We went to Ghirardelli Square, got some free Pumpkin Spice Caramel samples and I ogled at all that amazing chocolate!


We also went to Ikea. My mom had to buy something for the house. Aaron stayed to play in the kids care place and he had fun there. David, Raya and I explored the bedroom and living area since that was all yhe time we had! Ikea is so huge and I really wish there was an Ikea in Hawaii! I took a ton of pictures in Ikea which I'll be writing another post for! So many good ideas!
