Raya is really into eating her hands now. Why? No clue! And she loves to coo/talk. It's so cute!! Look at her big ol' cheeks!

Love Day

Reasons Why I Love David (in no particular order)
1. He makes me laugh and we have fun together
2. He is a family man. He loves us and makes sure we're happy
3. You know how everyone wants "tall,dark & handsome"? I GOT IT!
4. He is talented! Especially in the singing department, he got that down. Even my part! (which actually helps me hit the notes!!)
5. He loves ME! Even with all the irritating things I do to annoy the poor guy, at the end of the day, he's by my side.
6. He's got GREAT memory. Which is one reason when we go shopping, i just push the cart happily b/c i know he already knows what we need. Granted, i'll have written a list, that I've forgotten at home! Hence, David. Plus he's good at figuring out the math side of it all.
7. He is smart. He is always trying to think/find ways to make our lives a little easier.

Valentine's Day

These are the prizes that David won from our local radio station, KCCNFM100. He was the 10th caller with all the right answers!

Needless to say, we've enjoyed some of that chocolate already!!

He won tickets to go to an Augie comedy show but unfortunately I am super sick and couldn't go.

Cut it or Keep it?

David decided to cut his hair today and I didn't want to cut the back of his hair. 

I hate cutting the back of his hair in fear of messing it up! I have messed it up so many times, that he's had to buzz ALL his hair off. He started cutting only the side and asked me how it looked. 

I LIKE it! It reminds me of Rufio's hair from Hook!

I think it looks pretty awesome! You can't really tell from the front that his hair looks like that. I love David's hair spiked.

But David is probably going to end up cutting the back anyway.

Lost Drafts: Things I like about Canada

Some things that I didn't mention in the other post...

There are some foods that Canada has that the United States does not have that I like.
For example, ketchup chips. I love it when my family sends me ketchup chips after they've visited Canada.
When we were up there, we wanted to bring stuff back that you will most likely NOT find in the U.S. We went to the Superstore and bought KETCHUP flavored CHIPS, DILL PICKLE flavored CHIPS, BACON flavored CHIPS, and CARAMILK, AERO, and SMARTIES chocolate. YUM!! I have to admit that the ketchup chips are really an acquired taste. The pickle chips were similar to salt and vinegar chips but more pickle-y. The bacon chips tasted like a not so barbecue BBQ chip...you know what I mean. The chocolate was really good too!

Hitchiker?

We were walking home from the playground and he must've gotten tired. He would stop and do this, maybe in hopes of getting a ride. (Actually, I think he was waiting for cars to drive by to say hi!!)

Raya: 2 months

We had Raya's 2 month checkup yesterday and she has grown!

weight: 11lbs 13oz
length: 57.5 cm or 22.6 inches

"Cheese Raya"

Aaron LOVES Raya.

He wants to hold her and hug her and kiss her and you get the idea. His favorite though, is to lie down next to her and tells me "Cheese Raya" which as you can probably guess, is to take pictures with her! Here are a few from December since I haven't uploaded any since then.

This was taken on December 22 which makes Raya a month old.

Raya-1 month stats

I have been such a slacker at blogging. I promise to be better. I have lots to blog about!
Raya is 2 months today and so I thought I better put up her 1 month stats before I tell you the 2 month stats (her 2 month appointment is on Thursday).
Raya had her one month on Dec 21st. 
Weight: 8 lbs 7 oz which put her in the 25% percentile
Height: 20 in 3/4 and the doctor said she might be looking to be 5ft 4in.

She might end up short like me (5'2.5") but she'll still be taller than her mom.
---I have already accepted the fact that ALL my kids will be taller than me.


P.S. We had a WIC appointment last Tuesday and Raya was weighed in at 11 lbs! She graduated from newborn diapers to size 1-2.
